A
Particular Perspective on Religion in the Past and Present
The interaction of media and religion provides a revealing window
onto religious traditions, organisations and symbol systems, both
historical and contemporary.
Since 2004, the interdisciplinary research group Media and Religion
has been analysing the interaction of media and religion, both
in terms of theory and through empirical case studies. Today the
group comprises scholars from a number of countries and disciplines
whose varied methodologies bolster the project's interdisciplinary
character. The group organises regular meetings and workshops,
hosts public events, and publishes research in a number of languages.
